Village Global might have the best LPs in the game. They are backed by Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Michael Dell, Mark Zuckerberg, Anne Wojcicki, and Reid Hoffman to name a few. Reid Hoffman is not only an LP in the firm but now is joining as chairman. They lead pre-seed and seed rounds with typical checks ranging from $250K to $1.5M.

Bioluminescence Ventures came out of stealth this week with two new funds totaling $477M. The firm is led by Kouki Harasaki, a former venture capital investor at both M12 and a16z. He is looking to lead early-stage investments in transformative biotech companies developing preventative, disease-modifying, and curative treatments for major unmet medical needs.

This new $50M fund is the fourth for the firm, and they are looking for deeptech startups in artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, and frontier technologies. They are actively investing out of this fund with 20% already deployed in 7 startups.

This €30M Euro fund will invest in startups in sectors such as fintech, data, SaaS, and climate tech. To date they have invested in 6 companies, including BonusX and Jet HR.
Zoe Weinberg
Global | Pre-seed and Seed | Tools that support human agency
Zoe Weinberg has teamed up with Michael Mosier in the launch of ex/ante. This is a $33M fund being spun out of Schmidt Futures, the philanthropic venture arm of former Google CEO, Eric Schmidt. They will invest at the pre-seed and seed stages in companies that increase privacy, security, and information integrity. They are seeking to co-lead these rounds with $500K to $1M checks.
